Our overall aim for this programme is to help increase the amount of self-worth and value people see within themselves. We want to encourage and enable young people to build resilience for day-to-day relationship struggles. Our distinctives are to:
We give young people an opportunity to talk about issues they may not feel comfortable talking about with teachers or parents whom they see every day. By discussing these issues in a safe environment, we dispel myths and equip young people with the right information. This enables them to identify when at risk of an STI, abusive relationship or child sexual exploitation. We encourage young people to make choices that are healthy and something that they’ve decided for themselves to ensure they feel comfortable with the outcome.
We offer 3 different programmes. Please select the programme to find out more information.
The sessions are led with interactive activities encouraging engagement throughout. One activity is facilitating discussion through different types of scenarios to better understand what to do in certain situations and to better support their friends. We cover a wide range of topics and update the topics as to what is currently relevant for young people.
If you would like to have the programme in your school or would like to volunteer to deliver these sessions, please email the Project Lead: firstname.lastname@example.org
All volunteers are trained by Solent NHS Sexual Health and are DBS Checked through Alder Trust before entering the school.
